The Pet Relatives feature on Petme lets you add family members or friends as co-parents to your pet’s profile, creating a shared family experience online. This article explains what the feature is and how to use it to expand your pet’s network on Petme.
With Pet Relatives, you can invite others to co-parent your pet, reflecting real-life shared responsibilities. Once added, relatives are linked to your pet’s profile, and your pet appears on their profile too, strengthening your pet’s online community. This feature helps you collaborate with family or friends, making pet care a team effort while connecting with other pet lovers.
Here’s how to add relatives to your pet’s profile:
Tap on the fries menu in the top right corner of the Petme app to open the dropdown menu.

Select the pet profile you want to update from the menu.
Tap on “Edit profile” to modify your pet’s profile settings.

Scroll to the bottom of the settings and tap “Pet relatives.” Follow the instructions to send an invitation to the relative (you must follow each other) and choose a nickname for them.

The Pet Relatives feature is available for all account types on Petme, so whether you’re a personal user, a business, or a pet sitter, you can add relatives to your pet’s profile to share the experience.
