Before adding your pets, make sure you’ve created your personal profile on Petme. This ensures all pet profiles are linked to your account.
What Are Integrated Pet Profiles?
Petme lets you manage both personal and pet profiles in one place. Each pet has its own profile with posts, photos, and content that shows off their personality. You control everything from a single dashboard.
There’s no limit to the number of pets you can add, so whether you have one dog, two cats, or more, each pet can have their own social identity alongside yours.
How to Add a Pet Profile
Step 1: Access the Settings Menu
Open the Petme app, go to your profile and tap the fries menu icon in the top right corner. This reveals a dropdown menu with several options.
Step 2: Initiate a New Pet Profile
Select “New pet” from the menu. You’ll be taken to the pet profile creation screen.
Step 3: Fill in Essential Details
Enter all relevant information for your pet:
- Name
- Username
- Birthday or adoption day
- Species and breed
- Gender
Step 4: Notify Your Followers
Decide whether to notify your existing followers about your new pet. You can share the update or keep it private.
Step 5: Add a Profile Photo and Bio
Once the pet profile is created, you can add additional details and a profile photo. Go to your pet’s profile and tap “Edit profile”. Choose a photo that captures your pet’s personality. You can upload directly from your device’s gallery.
In the same menu, you can add a bio, nicknames, relatives of your pet (such as family members or co-parents), and pet sitting information (learn more below).
Completing Pet Sitting Information
If you plan to use Petme’s pet sitting or dog walking services, it’s important to fill in your pet’s sitting information:
- Go to the pet profile you just created.
- Tap “Edit profile”.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap “Sitting information”.
- Fill in details like:
- Weight
- Energy level
- Feeding instructions
- Any other information that will help sitters provide the best care
Providing complete pet sitting information ensures sitters understand your pet’s needs and can offer the best service.
