A business account is different: it’s for people who already have their own pet  business (different from pet sitting or dog walking), want to promote it on Petme, and handle their own marketing and payments (and it requires a paid subscription). So, to be a Petme sitter, always start with a sitter account.

Here’s how to become a verified pet sitter or dog walker with a free personal account:

1. Download the Petme app on your phone (it works on iPhone and Android) and choose pet sitter account during the onboarding – not a business account!
2. Open the app, go to your profile page and tap on the “Apply now” button. Submit your application and perform the ID and background check by uploading a government-issued ID and taking a selfie.
3. Once approved, activate your pet sitter profile with a one-time verification fee, which covers the application review, identity and background checks, and start earning by offering trusted care to pets in your community.
