A sitter cancellation can throw off your plans ā and we know how stressful that is when your pet’s care is on the line. Here’s what happens if your sitter cancels:
Before or during the cancellation policy period: You receive a full refund of sitter fees.
During the booking (boarding & house sitting only): You receive 100% of unused sitter fees, plus 50% of the fees for time already completed.
Refunds are processed automatically ā you don’t need to contact support to claim them.
Finding a replacement sitter
If your sitter cancels, you can search for available sitters in your area straight away. If you’re having trouble finding someone at short notice, contact us at support@petme.social and we’ll do our best to help.
What about the sitter?
Cancellations have consequences on our sitters’ side too. Repeated cancellations affect their reliability score, their visibility to pet parents, and may result in account action. Sitters are expected to cancel only when genuinely necessary ā and to let you know as early as possible.
