Will I get bookings on Petme?
Petme can't guarantee or predict how many booking requests you'll receive. Pet parents browse sitter profiles and reach out to the sitters they feel they can trust with their pets. Petme gives you the visibility and the tools, but it can't make that decision for them or send bookings to a specific profile.
This is your business, and the bookings you get are directly tied to the time and effort you put into building it.
What the verification fee covers
The verification fee is not tied to bookings. It's a one-time fee for the manual review of your application, your identity verification and your background check. Paying it doesn't guarantee bookings, because bookings depend on demand in your area and on your own activity and profile.
How to attract your first bookings
- Complete your profile. Add a clear photo of yourself (with a pet is best), your location, your experience, a pitchline and an overview. Make them as detailed and personal as you can. See How do I set up my sitter profile?
- Add your services and rates. Your profile only shows up for pet parents once at least one service is active. See How do I add services and rates?
- Post regularly. Even a few posts a week keep your profile showing up for pet parents nearby. Photos and videos of you with animals help them get to know you. See How do I post?
- Share your profile outside the app. In the app, go to Your sitter profile and tap Boost your profile. On the web, open your profile page and you'll find Boost your profile on the right-hand side. Social media and word of mouth work especially well in the early stages.
- Reply quickly. Pet parents often send the same request to several sitters, so a fast, friendly answer makes a difference.
Still no requests?
The first weeks are often the slowest. If you'd like tips on your profile, write to us at support@petme.social and we'll be happy to take a look.
