Setting up your sitter profile

Updated September 22, 20252 min read

To become visible to pet parents on Petme, you need to complete three steps:

  1. Set up your sitter profile (this article)
  2. Complete Stripe onboarding
  3. Add your services and rates

Once all three are complete, your profile will be activated. You’ll see a green dot and “Your account is live and ready for bookings” under Account status on your dashboard. You can also check how your profile looks to others by tapping View as on your profile page.

Accessing Your Sitter Profile

To start, open the Petme app, go to your Dashboard, and tap Sitter profile. This section contains all the details pet parents will see when considering booking you.

Profile Settings Overview

Location

Set your location so pet parents in your area can find you on the map. Make sure this is accurate, as it determines your visibility.

Experience (years)

Enter the number of years you’ve cared for pets. This is a simple numeric field that shows pet parents how experienced you are.

Pitchline

Add a short tagline that captures your personality or approach to pet care. Example: “Your dog’s new best friend 🐶”.

Experience overview

Write a short description of your background in pet care. Be specific about the types of pets you’ve cared for, and highlight what makes you a trustworthy sitter.

“Your account is live and ready for bookings”

From there, you can tap View as on your profile to preview how pet parents see you.
