How do I offer pet photography on Petme?

Petme sitters can now offer pet photography. You can offer photography alongside your pet sitting services, or on its own: once you're approved as a photographer, you only need to activate the services you want.

Who can offer photography

Photography is open to approved Petme sitters who photograph professionally. Because photographers spend time with pets that aren't their own, everyone goes through the pet sitter application and checks first, even if you only want to offer photography.

Sign up with a pet sitter account and complete the pet sitter application. See How do I become a sitter?.
Once you're approved, complete the verification and set up your profile so it's active, including your Stripe account, which you need to receive your payments. See How do I set up Stripe?.
Apply to offer photography (see below). There's no additional fee to apply.

You don't have to offer pet sitting once your photography is approved. You're welcome to, if you'd like to earn a little extra on the side.

What you need to apply

At least 6 months of paid photography experience
6 to 12 photos of pets you photographed: your own work, no heavy filters
Proof: your website or social link, or a client reference
Your own camera and equipment

You'll also confirm that you deliver every photo in full quality, by the deadline you set.

How to apply

Go to your Dashboard. Under Services, tap Photography.
Tap Apply, then Start application.
Tell us about your photography experience: how long you've photographed professionally, where you shoot (in a studio, outdoors or at clients' homes), your business or brand name, and your website, social link or a client reference.
Add your portfolio: 6 to 12 photos of pets.
Confirm the declarations and tap Send application.

Our team reviews your application and you'll hear from us soon. If it isn't approved, you can apply again from the date shown on the Photography tile.

Setting up your photography service

Once you're approved, tap Set up on the Photography tile and choose:

Where you shoot: in your studio, outdoors, or both. Your studio address is optional; if you leave it empty, we use your profile address.
How far you travel for outdoor sessions and home visits.
Your packages: offer 1 to 3 packages (Mini session, Classic session, Full session). For each one you set the session length, the number of edited photos, how many days you need to deliver them, how many revisions are included, and the price.

Prices are per session, and every photo is delivered in full quality.

How a photography booking works

The pet parent chooses one of your packages, and for outdoor sessions, where the shoot should happen (a park, a beach, a street…).
After the session, send the photos by the delivery date shown on the booking: tap Send photos and add at least the number of photos in the package. They're sent in full quality, exactly as you took them.
The pet parent reviews the photos. Previews are watermarked, and the full-quality originals unlock when they accept them. They have 3 days to accept the photos, ask for changes or report a problem. If they don't respond within 3 days, the photos are accepted automatically.
The pet parent can ask for changes, up to the number of revisions in your package. Send the new photos by the new date shown.

Always set a delivery time you can keep. If a pet parent reports a problem with the photos (for example, files that won't open or photos that are missing), our team reviews it.

Fees

Photography bookings have the same service fee as pet sitting: it depends on your plan. The fee is deducted automatically from each booking, and the rest is paid out to your Stripe account. See What is Petme's fee?.
