How do I close a request?

If you no longer need a sitter for a booking request, you can close the request as long as it is still open and has not been booked. You have not paid anything at this point, so there is nothing to refund.

How to close a request

1. Open the chat with the sitter and find the request.
2. Tap Close booking.
3. Confirm that you want to close the request.

Closing a request cannot be undone. The request will show as closed and you will no longer be able to send messages in it. If you change your mind, you can send the sitter a new request.

If the booking is already paid

Once a booking is paid and confirmed, it can't be closed any more. You can cancel it instead, and you will get a refund minus a 10% administrative fee. You can find the details in Cancellations and refunds.

Just need to change something?

If you only need different dates, times or pets, you don't have to close the request. You can modify it instead.
